What If? Interactive Work for Musicians and Audience

New work for improvising ensemble and audience. This improvisatory compositional work will demonstrate how an audience becomes the catalyst and inspiration for ‘in the moment’ composition.

We are making connections with audiences and breaking down some social boundaries as an investigation of the relationships between the performers, audience and the ‘work’ itself.

2010 VCA Film & Television awards announced.
On Wednesday 8 December, 2010 the Victorian College of the Arts announced the 2010 film award winners at the annual premiere of the Film & TV Graduate Screenings at ACMI. The awards were presented by special guest John Kirby, Chairman of Village Roadshow.

Kamambo (Butterfly) was nominated and won the Best Graduate Diploma Production Narrative directed by Victoria Goodyear and composer Nina Sofo. It is screening 11th and 17th December, 2010 at 7.15pm at ACMI in Federation Square, Melbourne.

University of Melbourne CULTURAL & COMMUNITY GRANT AWARD

Thank you for this recent grant awarded by the University of Melbourne which has assisted in financing this new opera production Laugh Out Loud which premiered in Melbourne on the 19th November 2010.

Thanks also to Kinneman Dancing Spirits Troupe, Lowanna Wickham and Amos Roach (son of Archie Roach) who collaborated with us on this new work.
